Well everyone, I came to work today and realized this is another day I dread to remember. It seems like yesterday when it all happened and I don't think I will ever get over it. I work six blocks from the site of the word trade center and I will never forget the panic of not knowing what was happening, seeing the largest building on the island go down and hope it didn't fall on your building. Seeing all those brave volunteers that not only searched for the survivors but on the NJ side, greeted all the people when they came home with hot coffee, care, and hope. A bunch of us had to take the ferry boats to Atlantic highlands because all other transportation was stopped. The saddest thing I ever saw was the mass devastation and the twin towers burning before they both fell. As we all know over four thousand lives were lost in this tragedy.
Let us never forget less it will happen again.
President Obama has designated September 11, 2009 as patriot Day. All flags will fly at half mast to commemorate and remember all who have died or were injured.
